Personal Development and Well-Being

Our Vision

At the heart of St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School is our children, their development, well-being and overall happiness within our school family. We work hard to promote our pupils’ wider development, character and well-being. Our aim is to ensure that all of our children receive the care and support they need to achieve and thrive during their time with us.

We organise a range of activities to develop their spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. As an inclusive school we aim to ensure that our curriculum contributes to our pupils’ development. We promote equality of opportunity so that all of our pupils can thrive together, develop resilience and become responsible, respectful and active citizens.

Whilst at school our pupils take part in many different opportunities, from school trips, special visitors to our ‘Inclusion Week’ and many different extra-curricular opportunities. We also support our children to develop their independence and, when in Year 6, we support our pupils in their readiness for the next phase of their education.

We are proud of the pastoral support we offer in school. We are vigilant in identifying children who may need extra pastoral support.  Our pastoral support is matched to meet the specific needs of our pupils and targeted to provide the relevant support.

Our mission is to ensure that all pupils feel welcomed, valued, respected and that they belong in our school family. All of our pupils have equal access to all of our trips, events and extra-curricular activity. We also hold inclusion trips to expand the experiences of all of our pupils.

St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School is dedicated to supporting the personal development and well-being of all our pupils.
